Well I had a week away down in the Loire area of France and had some really nice beers, that was not a big surprise as I have done this many times now. Our Holiday blog
Lets start with a typical French beer
St Omar, Biere d'Or Des Flanderes from France
4.0% gold in colour with a thin head, just a plain ordinary hot weather French beer but not bad. I think I actually bought this one when I got back home.
Les Brasseurs De Gayant (Saint-Omer), Itinéraire des Saveurs Biere Blonde de Garde du Nord from France
6.0% gold in colour with a nice head, a nice slightly sweet aroma and a good Blonde taste, very nice. Another photo taken in England but I did buy it in France.
Saint-Omer (ALDI), Kusterbier from France
4.5% gold in colour with a poor head a very typical French beer, even though RateBeer say it is made in England this was bought on the Loire in France and I do not think it was from home.
Mort Subite, Witte Lambic from Belgium
5.5% hazy yellow in colour with a nice head and quite fizzy, sweet limy aroma, nice but sweet fruity wheat beer taste.
Karlsbräu, Ecu d’Or Blonde from France
6.4% gold in colour with a thin head, nice malt aroma and the taste is a quite nice blonde.
Karlsbräu, Ecu d’Or Blanche from France
4.5% cloudy yellow with a good head, a nice typical French wheat beer.
Britt, Altiplano Bière Bio au Quinoa sans gluten from France
4.5% cloudy gold in colour with a thin head, malt aroma and taste, not too bad.
Saint-Omer, Kingsbräu Abbaye from France
6.2% blond in colour with a thin head, another good French abbaye beer
