Well as I said in the last post, Innis & Gunn has not been covered on here before, so here we go. I will cover the four main beers brewed by Innis & Gunn and may continue onto some of the Limited editions they do. Innis & Gunn is a fairly new brewer and only started in 2003, it is also Scottish and I love their beers.
Innis & Gunn, Original from Scotland
6.6%, oak aged beer, light amber in colour with a thin head, slight hop aroma, fairly sweet malt and caramel even butter flavour, very nice indeed. This is the old label but I thought it would do.
Innis & Gunn, Blood Red Sky from Scotland
6.8% deep amber to red in colour with a thin head, there is a sweet hint of rum in the aroma and the taste is slightly sweet but nice rum flavor. I bought this one in a supermarket in France.
Innis & Gun, Gunnpowder IPA from Scotland
5.6% gold in colour with a thin head, it had a citrus hop aroma and a similar taste. Also bought and drank this one in France.
Innis & Gunn, Lager Beer from Scotland
4.6% gold colour with a thin head, slightly sweet aroma and a descent lager taste.
Now what others have I had.
Innis & Gunn, Bourbon Barrel Porter from Scotland
7.4% dark brown in colour with a thin head, caramel and roast malt aroma, some whiskey and malt in the taste.
Innis & Gunn, Scottish Pale Ale from Scotland
7.0% gold in colour with a good head, a fruity aroma and a mild vanilla taste.
Innis & Gunn, American Oak Pale Ale from Scotland
4.4% gold colour with a thin head, some oak in the aroma, not much different in the taste.
There are a couple of fruit beers from them that I covered in another blog, Some Fruit Beers
If you know me or of me, you will know I like beer. Over the last few years I have been collecting photos of every new beer I have.
I now have over 2,000 individual beers photographed and have realised that many beers that I assumed I have photos of, I haven't.

This blog will be therefore be an account of my quest for new beers to photo and how I enjoyed them (or not).

Beers to survive the lockdown
As I wrote yesterday, I am not getting out but I still need my beer, so I have been ordering them from online shops or the breweries themselves. Below is a photo of the beers that I bought and I only bought ones that I really like. After all these are for drinking not just for trying, I already have enough of those.
So I will go through my old writeups of the above beers.
Franziskaner, Hefe-Weissbier from Germany
5.0% cloudy cold in colour with a good but fading head, banana aroma, slightly dry yeasty banana taste, so smells like and tastes like a good German Hefe Weissbier, if it didn't I would let you know, this is another good one. Brewed in Munich.
Camerons, Strongarm from England
4.0% ruby red colour with a very good head, fruity malt aroma, nice fruity caramel bitter taste. Brewed in Hartlepool, it's my home town beer and people of the town either love it or hate it, I love it.
Leffe, Blond from Belgium
6.6% deep gold colour with a thin head, sweet malt and bubblegum aroma, sweet strong bubbly malt taste and a slightly bitter aftertaste, I love it.
Hoegaarden, Witbier from Belgium
5.0% pale yellow in colour with a good head, slight citrus aroma, nice citrusy yeast though quite a thin tasting Witbier but very enjoyable, I like it a lot and it is usually reasonably priced. One of the best, even in cans.
And the Innis and Gunn, another fantastic beer that I find I have not covered on here before and that is very strange. So I will finish here but the very next thing I write will be on Innis and Gunn beers.

Last beers from our away trip in March
These are the last of the new beers I had from our trip away to the Lakes, just before the lockdown. Since our trip away I have only been out four times, the day after we got back I went to see the specialist at hospital. The day after I went to the dentists (just before they closed), then a few days later went to Argos to get a Mothers Day present for my Mother. I still have the present, she will get it after all of this is over.
Today I went to the post box, over three weeks later.
Anyway the beers are from Weetwood Als, I only had one on the holliday and the other two when I got back.
Weetwood, Old Dog from England
3.6% gol in colour with a nice head, it had a hoppy aroma and the taste was much the same.
Weetwood, Southern Cross from England
3.6% gol in colour with a nice head, it had a hoppy aroma and the taste was much the same.
Weetwood, Cheshire Cat from England
4.9% gold in colour with a nice head, hoppy lemon aroma, the taste was dry sweet lemon and hops
