I have only had one new beer in the last week and it was one from a new country for me, in fact I haven't had many beers at all from the Caribbean. So I will put them all together here now.
Carib, Carib Lager from Trinidad & Tobago
5.2% orange colour with a thin head, sweet malt aroma, and sweet malt taste. My son was drinking Cobra and he reckoned it tasted exactly the same, even though one was from the Caribbean and one from the UK.
Desnoes and Geddes, Dragon Stout from Jamaica
7.5% vary dark almost black with a good head, sweet malt aroma, sweet chocolate malt taste, not bitter like your usual stout, I like it even though it is a bit sweet.
Banks, Caribbean Lager from Barbados
4.7% gold colour with no head, sweet malt aroma, sweet fizzy malt taste, refreshing.
Desnoes and Geddes, Red Stripe from Jamaica
4.7% golden colour with no head, faint malt aroma, usual lager taste, average hot weather beer, the one that everyone knows from the Caribbean.
Windward & Leeward, Piton from St Lucia
5.0% gold colour with no head, malt aroma and taste, OK in the heat of St Lucia, , I need a new photo of the bottle but can not afford to go back.
