Another bank holiday weekend, another Fisherman Arms beer festival.
The theme for this one was Yorkshire Beers, I had, had a couple of them before but here are all of the beers from the Friday night, the only one I could make.
York Brewery, Guzzler, England
3.6% gold colour with a good head, malt and hop aroma, nice refreshing bitter taste.
Empire, Strikes Back, England
4.0% golden with a thin head, citrus hop aroma, the taste is hops, too much hops.
Ilkley, Stout Mary, England
4.5% black in colour with a good head, roast malt aroma and bitter roast malt taste.
Bradfield, Farmers Blonde, England
4.0% pale gold colour with a good head, floral aroma, sweet floral hop taste.
Saltaire, Cascade Pale Ale, England
4,8% gold colour with a thin head, citrus hop aroma slightly sweet but dry grapefruit citrus hop taste.
Great Heck, Dave, England
3.8% deep amber colour with a good head, caramel malt aroma, treacle toffee taste.
Rudgate, Ruby Mild, England
4.4% deep ruby red colour with a good head, malt aroma, chocolate and toffee taste, a bit on the strong side for a mild it's more like a dunkel.
Little Valley, Ginger Pale Ale, England
4.0% gold colour with a thin head, ginger aroma, watery malt and ginger taste.
Abbeydale, Exodus, England
4.3% gold colour with a good head, citrus hop aroma, smooth citrus hop taste, very nice beer.
Idle, Idle Sod, England
4.2% gold colour with a good head, fruity malt aroma, refreshing bitter hoppy taste.
Bradfield, Farmers Bitter, England
3.9% amber colour with a thin head, malt aroma, smooth caramel bitter taste
Wold Top, Headland Red, England
4.3% deep amber colour with a thin head, malty caramel aroma, nice caramel malty taste. No photo on the day.
