If you know me or of me, you will know I like beer. Over the last few years I have been collecting photos of every new beer I have.
I now have over 2,000 individual beers photographed and have realised that many beers that I assumed I have photos of, I haven't.

This blog will be therefore be an account of my quest for new beers to photo and how I enjoyed them (or not).

AR-MEN, Blanche

A couple of weeks ago, I said I would review the beers bought in France as my Fathers Day present last year, tonight I eventually got round to trying the first one.
AR-MEN, Blanche from France.
4.8% cloudy gold colour with no head, sweet fruity aroma, fairly sweet citrus taste, quite good. Similar to other French wheat beers like Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc or Edelweiss.

Party

Well last night we went to a surprise 70th birthday party in the rugby club. Although we nearly didn't make it, a pipe burst in the bathroom, just as I was about to watch England v France in the rugby. We got it fixed just in time to get ready to go out but water was still running down the walls as we left.

The Birthday boy was truly surprised to see us all and I think he had a good night, we did. My beer famine is over, I had too many and then another beer nightcap when we got home. I am suffering today but my hart is good. I think I will have a wheat beer tonight.

Finally Friday

Well we eventual got out for our "usual" Friday night beers but as I am still a bit worried about my hart, I drank the weakest beer they had.
Caledonian, Wm Younger's Best from Scotland.
3.1% amber colour with a good head, an average if somewhat watery bitter but cheap, I did manage five though.

Cauldron Falls

Out with the girls again on Wednesday, we visited Cauldron Falls on Walden Beck in West Burton. They loved it, and tried to get behind the falls but of course couldn't but they did get wet, again.

For lunch, we got fish and chips in Leyburn and while we were there, I got four new beers from Campbells. Reviews to follow but probably not this weekend as we are at a birthday party in a club, so not sure what beer we will get there.

Cod Beck the Car and Weak Beer

Had a day at Cod Beck reservoir in the van with the twins, we had a walk round the reservoir and a good look at the base of the dam. It was a little bit muddy and a bit cold but we had all the right gear. After the walk we had our packed lunch in the van and then the girls played in the beck until they were too wet and too cold to carry on.

On the way back we picked the car up from the garage, I asked why the battery exploded but they couldn't answer but said it was probably my fault for not looking after it, yer, my fault for asking.

Tonight I got this daft idea, I would buy some 2.0% beers, so that I could drink more volume. So off to the shop I went, luckily they had none.

Double Header

The last of the new beers on Saturday was not the best beer of the night, although it was drinkable.
RCH, Double Header from England.
5.3% cloudy gold with a thin head, citrus hop aroma and taste, very ordinary.
