Just had a few days in Thirsk and a few beers in Wetherspoons there, usually when I am in a Spoons I have one new beer, then switch onto something I like, unless the new one is good. All of these where not too bad at all.
Birrificio MC-77 (Hook Norton), Mild The Gap from Italy (England)
4.5% dark brown in colour with a nice head, bit of a malty chocolate aroma, some bitterness in the taste but good.
Bodebrown (Banks’s), Brazillian Burton Pale Ale from Brazil (England)
5.0% amber in colour with a nice head, malty aroma and a malty taste, not bad.
Butcombe, Union from England
4.8% slightly hazy gold colour with a good head, hop and malt in the aroma with a bitter hop taste.
Maxim, Hapi from England
4.0% gold in colour with a nice head, slightly sweet fruity aroma, bitter taste, not bad
If you know me or of me, you will know I like beer. Over the last few years I have been collecting photos of every new beer I have.
I now have over 2,000 individual beers photographed and have realised that many beers that I assumed I have photos of, I haven't.

This blog will be therefore be an account of my quest for new beers to photo and how I enjoyed them (or not).

Abbaye de Vauclair
All of these beers are from De Gayant, I have not covered them before, well not together so I thought it was about time. One of them was new to me as well and it just reminded me that these French beers are so good. I will leave the new one till last, a Wheat Beer I got from Lidl on our last trip in the van.
De Gayant, Abbaye de Vauclair Blonde from France
6.5% gold colour with a thin head, another beer very much like Leffe blonde very nice.
De Gayant, Abbaye de Vauclair Triple from France
8.5% gold colour with a good head, sweet aroma, sweet strong alcohol, not as bad as it sounds. Looking at the photo it was taken in France.
De Gayant, Abbaye de Vauclair Rubis from France

De Gayant, Abbaye de Vauclair Blanche from France
4.5% cloudy gold in colour with a nice head, a really good aroma and taste, another great beer from these people.

Marston's, Pedigree?????
Marston's Pedigree, has always been a good beer but over the last ten years it has changed many times. Although it is still a good beer it is annoying that they can not just leave well alone. There are also other beers that have been named Marston's Pedigree but with a different styles, I will not go on moaning, just show them here.
Marston's, Pedigree Amber Ale from England

Last of my box of Hefe Weizen from Germany
Well it took some time to get through this box of wheat beer from Germany, not because it wasn't very nice, its just that it was in the fridge and I was drinking other beers.
Overall the whole box of these beers was excellent and I would drink them all again. It looks like I will have to arrange another trip to Germany, this time just to collect new beers.
The previous beers from this box were covered on here, see below for the write ups

Still nothing new
Well it is getting toward the end of February and I have not had any new beers for over a month. I have had a few cans of beers that have changed from what they used to be though, so here goes.
Zywiec, Warka Podaje Piłkę from Poland
5.5% gold colour with thin head, slight malt aroma and an ordinary lager taste. According to ratebeer this is the same beer as Zywiec, Warka from Poland, but that is 5.7%.
Marstons, Lancaster Bomber from England
4.4%, deep amber colour and a good but thin head, fruity aroma, caramel malt taste, bitter aftertaste. Was made by Thwaites, now only says Marstons on the can but you have to look very hard to see it.
Wychwood, Hobgoblin from England
4.5% very dark amber with a thin head, fruity hop aroma, nice creamy malt taste, this beer was 5.2% not too long ago, I thought Wychwood were better than this.
24/2/17 just bought bottles of Hobgoblin and it is still 5.2%, so how come the cans are only 4.5%????

Nothing new, so some old wheat beers
Well I have promised to keep up to date with this blog but I have had nothing new for a couple of weeks now, still had plenty to drink though.
So I will cover some older wheat beers I have photos of, some may have been covered before but never mind.
Gulpener, Korenwolf from Holland
5.0% very cloudy gold colour with a thin head, citrus and banana aroma, nice flavoured wheat beer, it is the cloudiest beer I have ever had but I like it a lot.
Etalon, Weissbier from the Ukraine

This is before the proper write-ups started, all it says is, Best beer I have had from the Ukraine, 5.0%. Will have to try it again.
Löwenbräu, LowenWeisse from Germany

Another one with no write-up, all this one says is, 5.2% good Hefe Weissbier. Same again will have to try it again.
I do have plenty of new beers to try, a fridge full in fact, so I will have to get round to trying them.
