Several weeks into the lockdown and I am getting through my stock of beer, I do still have plenty but I am rationing the beers I have not tried before. I have also reordered more of the usual beers, just in case.
Since we got back home from the lakes, Dot has been out to the shops a couple of times, to get things like bread and milk and a few bottles of wine. I have been out for a couple of walks with Dot but not many and am getting most exercise just in the garden. It is nice and sunny and warm in the conservatory so it is a very nice place to sit with a drink after tea.
We should have been away at the moment, our usual birthday trip to see Amber in Peterborough (Ferry Meadows), then calling into York (Rowntree Park) for a few days on the way back. Next week we should be in Spain, maybe next year now.
Looking at my photos, I see that there are quite a lot to cover, so I will do four at a time and maybe group them somehow. I will start with the cans.
Just answered the door and it was one of my beer deliveries, a box of Toast beers, lookout for the reviews of them on here soon.
Anyway the beers were,
Magic Rock, Common Ground Coffee Porter from England
4.5% black in colour with a good tan head, some coffee in the aroma, some coffee in the taste a nice porter.
Wild Beer, Millionaire from England
4.7% black in colour with a nice head, some toffee and chocolate in the aroma, a similar but sweet stout raste.
HonestBrew, x Signature Brew Unplugged from England
3.0% hazy yellow in colour with a nice head, sweet fruity aroma and a weak grapefruit taste.
Magic Rock, Saucery Session IPA from England
3.9% hazy gold in colour with a poor head, a citrus aroma and a similar taste, it was a bit bitter.
