If you know me or of me, you will know I like beer. Over the last few years I have been collecting photos of every new beer I have.
I now have over 2,000 individual beers photographed and have realised that many beers that I assumed I have photos of, I haven't.

This blog will be therefore be an account of my quest for new beers to photo and how I enjoyed them (or not).
My email is ralphgant@sky.com.

Still not back to Normal

Well I thought I was getting back to normal but it seems that I am not.   I thought I would be, especially as I though I was getting back into everything straight away, but there you go.

I am still drinking beer, I am still doing all sorts of things but something is missing, someday it may change, you never know.   It is the sitting down and typing that I just do not seem to be able to do.  So for now, all of this is going to take time, I just hope that it will not take too long.

Very soon I hope that I will be back to normal.

A couple more

Here are a couple more beers I had not long after my Stroke, I have not really been very good with the write ups.

Královský pivovar Krušovice, Krušovice Černe from Czech Republic

Královský pivovar Krušovice, Krušovice Černe, Czech Republic

I can not really remember this one, so I have gone with the write up from ratebeer.

3.8%, dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

Salisburry, Somer from England

Salisburry, Somer, England

3.9% gold with a poor head, not much aroma but the taste is much better in this fruity beer.

Still caching up

Well I am still caching up, this could take some time but I am hoping that it will not make much difference to what I am doing. So here are the next new beer I had, some are not necessarily the best photos I have ever taken though. Here we go then, some beers from the first time after the stroke, lets just see how it goes.

Sadler’s, Worcester Sorcerer from England

4.3% amber colour with a good head, toffee aroma, toffee and apple taste.

Cuillin, Skye Ale from Scotland

4.2% cloudy amber colour with a good head, sweet aroma and taste.

Not that sure if the review for these two is fully correct but that's what I wrote at the time, we will just have to believe it but if I see them again though, I will have another go.

Well here we go

Well here we go, there was one beer I had the right before my trip away to York and two of the new beers I had in York the night before my stroke.

Stables, Mahogany Drift Bitter from England

52 beers 6 - 10, Stables, Mahogany Drift Bitter, England

3.8% amber colour with a good head, malt and hop aroma and a good bitter taste. Another beer from the pub at Beamish and another one that I would have again.

This was the one I had midweek before our trip away to York.  Now for the two I had in York, I am not too sure about them, its hard to remember but here goes.  Oh, I just remembered that I wrote it all down, some things are coming back to me very slowly.  I knew I was keeping track of the more resent beers but I had forgotten the stuff I did back then.

Freeminer, YYZ from England

Freeminer, YYZ, England.

4.5% amber colour with a good head,it has a roast malt aroma and taste.  As I remember this was not too bad but as I had a stroke the morning after, we can only go on what I remember.

Doctor Morton's, FamouS Horrable Skellington from England

Doctor Morton's, Famous Horrable Skellington, England

4.9% deep red to black colour with a good head, roast malt aroma and taste, very good beer.  I have had a couple of these beers before and they appear to be very nice and don't forget to read the label.

Back Again

Well, I am back again, I am still not back to normal but pretty near.

It has been well over a month since I last wrote anything on here, but there you go, I was a bit down.  That and not rely being able to write it all down. Tonight I am trying to type but even now, I an not sure that I can do what I used to do.  Anyway I will give it ago.

I am not drinking as much as I did, it is just something I do not know what is going to happen.  I am still drinking, that was always something that was going to happen but not as much as I did.   Therefore, I am way behind with my beer reviews but not as much as I could be.  I am going back to see what the last beer I reviewed was but there are quite a few.

Well it looks like it was Halloween 2013, well after that we visited York, which is where it all went wrong.   So I will make a start there but that will be on a new blog and it will be soon, nothing like the last couple of months.

Well that didnt last long

I thought I was well enough to get back to normal but I just wasn't. Its weird how your body feels, I thought I was well enough but I just could not get back to typing. I think that I just could not be bothered to fight the authorises and so just let them have there way. After all it was them that stopped me driving and after that I just cave up, also my family just decided to go with anything they said as well.

Well I am going to make a stand, I am going to get back to normal, I do not know how I am going to do this but I am going to try. Over the next week or so, I am going to make a stand and we will see how this goes.

Check back here to see how I am getting on.

Not been Well

Hi everyone, I am back, I have been able to type for all of the time I have been missing but I just could not be bothered.   During our last trip to York in November, I had a Stroke, nothing too bad but it did put me off typing for about a month.  Anyway I am back now and looking for something to type.
