Well it is getting toward the end of February and I have not had any new beers for over a month. I have had a few cans of beers that have changed from what they used to be though, so here goes.
Zywiec, Warka Podaje Piłkę from Poland
5.5% gold colour with thin head, slight malt aroma and an ordinary lager taste. According to ratebeer this is the same beer as Zywiec, Warka from Poland, but that is 5.7%.
Marstons, Lancaster Bomber from England
4.4%, deep amber colour and a good but thin head, fruity aroma, caramel malt taste, bitter aftertaste. Was made by Thwaites, now only says Marstons on the can but you have to look very hard to see it.
Wychwood, Hobgoblin from England
4.5% very dark amber with a thin head, fruity hop aroma, nice creamy malt taste, this beer was 5.2% not too long ago, I thought Wychwood were better than this.
24/2/17 just bought bottles of Hobgoblin and it is still 5.2%, so how come the cans are only 4.5%????
If you know me or of me, you will know I like beer. Over the last few years I have been collecting photos of every new beer I have.
I now have over 2,000 individual beers photographed and have realised that many beers that I assumed I have photos of, I haven't.

This blog will be therefore be an account of my quest for new beers to photo and how I enjoyed them (or not).

Nothing new, so some old wheat beers
Well I have promised to keep up to date with this blog but I have had nothing new for a couple of weeks now, still had plenty to drink though.
So I will cover some older wheat beers I have photos of, some may have been covered before but never mind.
Gulpener, Korenwolf from Holland
5.0% very cloudy gold colour with a thin head, citrus and banana aroma, nice flavoured wheat beer, it is the cloudiest beer I have ever had but I like it a lot.
Etalon, Weissbier from the Ukraine

This is before the proper write-ups started, all it says is, Best beer I have had from the Ukraine, 5.0%. Will have to try it again.
Löwenbräu, LowenWeisse from Germany

Another one with no write-up, all this one says is, 5.2% good Hefe Weissbier. Same again will have to try it again.
I do have plenty of new beers to try, a fridge full in fact, so I will have to get round to trying them.

York, second week in January
We went away to York for a few days at the end of the first week in January but we didn't get many new beers and those we did get were not good at all. We did however drink plenty of good beers though, but they have already been recorded on here before.
Ossett, Excelsior from England
5.2% hazy gold colour with a nice head. citrus hoppy aroma and taste, not to my taste at all.
Bad Co, Clockwork Orange from England
4.8% slightly cloudy gold in colour with a thin head, some orange in the aroma and taste but mainly hops
The Rat Brewery, Rat Crafted from England
5.0% pale amber colour with a nice head, the rest of it is hops.

First beers of 2017
Well this year I am going to try and keep up, I do not think I will however. These are some of the new beers I have had up until the end of the second week in January.
I do however hope that the taste of beers improves this year as some of these beers are not that good. I think that the spate of new brewers around the county all seem intent on making very hoppy beers, especially with the use of new hops from America. Even the bigger brewers are doing the same sort of thing and it is not good at all.
Young's (Charles Wells), Special from England
4.5% amber in colour with a good head, some hops and caramel in the aroma and a nice bitter taste.
Samuel Adams, Rebel IPA from USA
6.0% gold in colour with a thin head, the aroma and taste are the modern hop and slightly citrus, shame.
Eden Mill, St. Andrews 19th Brew from Scotland
3.9% gold in colour with a thin head, the aroma and taste are the modern hop and slightly citrus, yet another one of these beers.
Brains, The Rev James Rye from Wales
4.3% amber colour with a nice head, hop aroma, malty taste with some hops but not that bad.
Shepherd Neame, Spitfire Gold from England
4.3% deep gold in colour with a poor head, hop aroma but the taste was ok as the hops were not that bad.
